About the Haukmoor Campaign

The Haukmoor Campaign setting is a D&D campaign aimed at exploring how politics can be used in a RPG setting. While this isn't novel to some veterans, it's definately not the norm for most - nor for my group!

The campaign is set against a classic high fantasy backdrop of ancient wars, massive armies, light against dark (or at least, lighter gray against darker gray - as the players soon find out).

The players are introduced slowly to the politics through being drafted/hired as a small mercenary scouting/strike force, used to gather information on the Unmen Hordes and in an attempt to use a finely aimed force at strategic points, rather than the massive bludgeoning force of armies.

Over time, the players will have contact with the varied factions within the fragmented Duchy, possibly aligning with one (or more) of them. They may also find things about the Unmen that unseat their closely held prejudices - or reinforce them.
