Elves

The Elves in Haukmoor are the third most common group, and tend to stay apart from the rest of the Duchy's populace, in their forested expanses on the west side of the Duchy.

Because of their standoffishness, the political power of the Elves is much less than it could be, if they chose to participate. The Elves, on the other hand, tend to find the politics of the humans distastefully hectic and impatient.

The Elves rarely go forth to war, as they are rarely threatened. A smattering of elvenkind are in the Ducal armies, typically in magical support positions, or in the officer's cadre. In times of war, the Elven Conclaves? don't muster regiments of their own like the Dwarven Kingdoms do, but instead certain influential and restless nobles form their own militias, and go forth to the general bafflement of their more reserved kin.
